songs including nine new originals from Corky Carroll, one written
by
his son Clint Carroll (Dirty Water Band) and one by Huntington Beach
street musician Joey Racano. Also Corky's versions of Jackson Browne's
vingtage "Jamaica" plus "Sitting in Limbo," which
was made popular by Jimmy Cliff. The legendary Chris Darrow (Nitty
Gritty
Dirt Band, Linda Rhondstat) also appears on three of the tracks. Those
who have heard the unmixed tracks say that this is by far Corky's
best
and most interesting work to date. CONCERT

CASA BAHIA Corky is

Taxim Records in Germany has just re-released Corky's epic LP "A SURFER FOR PRESIDENT" on CD. It contains the ten original tracks, including the classic "Tan Punks on Boards", plus five tracks from the recent "Beachtown Rhapsody" and "Liquid Measures" CD's. The LP was originally released in 1979 on Casual Tuna Records. The single "Tan Punks on Boards", which Corky received a Gold Record for, was produced by Michael Nesmith (the Monkees) and released on his Pacific Arts label It also appeared on Rhino Records "Cowabunga, the surf box" CD box set and on "Best of a Soul Surfer" from Goofyfoot Records in Switzerland. The "SURFER FOR PRESIDENT" LP launched Corky's unfortunately unsuccessful bid for the United States Presidency in 1980. Appearing on the album is the great Coolwater Casuals band which included Chris Darrow (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Linda Rhondstat, etc.) and Max Budda (Kaleidoscope).
